2021 #SelfCare
I am back! I cannot believe this is my first blog post this year. The end of 2020 was a bit draining. Mom exhibited new neurological symptoms that stressed me out tremendously. I was so stressed that I started to develop anxiety, and did not feel in control. I had to listen to my body, and take a back seat. This is what I did to make time for “me” time.
Stopped setting my alarm clock every Saturday and Sundays for cycling class.
Biked outdoors.
Walked more.
(Unfortunately) canceled my cycling membership- so I am not longer on a schedule.
Started to focus on strength training.
Learned not to “react” to mom’s cognitive changes
Eating more vegetables and staying hydrated.
Intermittent Fasting
I made these simple changes to my daily lifestyle, and I feel so much better two months later. My mind is clearer to tackle unknown challenges, and I feel physically stronger. It is not easy to initiate and stick to change, but this time around, I am a lot happier, and mom is doing well.
